Due to their high nutritional density and their remarkable richness in polyunsaturated fatty acids hemp seeds are also called "the superfood".
They contain for example 2 - 4 % gamma-linoleic. Gamma-linoleic acid acts as an anti-inflammatory and therefore plays a preventive and supporting role against diseases such as eczema and arthritis. Linoleic acid is also important for cell renewal, skin and mucous membranes, it helps to reduce the recovery period of muscles, supports muscle development and improves energy supply.
Hemp seeds are rich in vitamins B1, B2, B3 and E, minerals like calcium, potassium and magnesium and trace elements like iron and zinc.
Hemp is an excellent source of essential amino acids, which among other things are responsible for the biosynthesis of immunoglobulins and therefore support a strengthened immune system.
