AGROBS® GRÜNHAFERCOBS from Bavarian cultivation use the gentle power of oats: reduced-starch, rich in crude fibre and highly palatable, they provide a well-tolerated replacement for concentrate feed. The moderate energy, protein and sugar content of the green oat plant provides a balanced source of nutrition for horses with a sensitive metabolism or sensitive stomach.

Why green oats instead of oats?
Oats (Avena sativa) are traditionally regarded as a concentrate feed – but not all horses can tolerate starch-rich grains. Sensitive horses require an alternative that provides energy in a way their body can cope with.
This is exactly what Bavarian-grown AGROBS® GRÜNHAFERCOBS deliver. To make Grünhafercobs, the entire oat plant is harvested after flowering but before full grain development. At this early stage, the plants are naturally rich in valuable crude fibre but low in starch. They release energy steadily without blood sugar spikes, effects on temperament or strain on the stomach. They are dried using a gentle, warm air-drying process that preserves essential nutrients and keeps the cobs mould- and dust-free. The result is a pure natural product that meets our high standards for quality and tolerability.

A versatile and straightforward feed
With naturally moderate levels of energy, protein and sugar, Grünhafercobs are an ideal concentrate feed replacement or a forage supplement. They are naturally highly palatable so horses will enjoy eating them. As a single-ingredient feed, Grünhafercobs can be used in exclusion diets and for horses with allergies and intolerances. The easy-to-soak cobs are also a good choice for seniors, because they ensure that even horses that struggle to chew get the right nutrients.

FEEDING RECOMMENDATION

Depending on horse type and activity Level

as sole concentrated feed: approximately 100 - 500 g per 100 kg ideal body weight
or to supplement the usual concentrated feed: 1.6 kg Grünhafercobs provide the energy of 1 kg of oats
Introduce new feed gradually
per 1 kg soak with 1.5 to 3 liters of water
A feed scoop of 1 l holds an average of approx. 530 g of Grünhafercobs.

AGROBS® recommends softening the cobs through soaking.
Teff grass may naturally contain small amounts of the metabolism-stimulating substance synephrine, which is considered doping-relevant according to the FN and FEI. Please observe the recommended waiting period of your (inter)national equestrian association.

As a source of minerals, we recommend a mineral feed that is adapted to the horse and its needs.
