"Dear Team from Equimero, I just wanted to give you some feedback on your halter. I am ABSOLUTELY THRILLED! In 9 years it is actually the first halter that my mare has not chafed with. All special halters up to now - be they with fur, without fur, made of leather, with special fabric underneath - have chafed after a short time. Your halter is used for many hours every day in the meadow and it still looks fantastic. In addition, for the first time I am also reassured when grazing at night, because the safety strap comes off should it get caught somewhere. Anyway, I'm extremely glad I grabbed the halter right away."

The robust, weatherproof biothane halter is 4-way adjustable. During configuration, it can be equipped with the Equimero® safety strap if desired: this small helper made of cork is inserted as an intermediate piece in the halter's neck strap. With the safety strap, an injury caused by getting caught in the halter can be prevented in a simple way.

There are these situations: The stable where the horse is living, takes the horses out every day, but the halter is not taken off and remains on the horse's head while he is in the field, creating the risk that he could get struggled in it while rolling or playing or get caught somewhere with it. Or the horse remains jumpy, panics at the rope and tugs until the halter breaks - and gets injured. In these moments, the Equimero® cork safety strap offers a valuable solution.

It is inserted between the cheek straps and the neck straps in the halter's buckle. When first used, it is important to buckle the safety strap into the lower hole. From approx. 60 kg pulling force, the lower hole of the safety strap will tear open downwards, the horse comes free and the halter remains undamaged. The safety strap can then be used a second time in the upper hole. The safety strap is a simple way to prevent injuries caused by getting caught in the halter. At the same time, the safety strap is easy on the wallet because you don't always have to buy a new halter.

When choosing a size, please bear in mind that the neck strap of the halter becomes a little longer when the safety strap is buckled in.

The Biothane halter can be combined with the Neck Patches (19mm strap width).
