Description

The Equizügel® MISTRAL is an adjustable neck rope made of biothane with a padded fabric part for particularly sensitive horses.

Effect and possible uses

a) In connection with a headstall, e.g. snaffle

To the horse

The horse reacts to an impulse via the muscles in the chest area by lifting itself in the front area (withers). This supports horses that are difficult to bring upright, horses that tend to stumble, but also horses that like to lie on the reins due to lack of balance or that tend to run off.
The horse rein serves to support the horse's balance and coordination. You can see the effect of the horse rein very well on an unsaddled horse and practice it there. With gentle acceptance and soft yielding, the horse can easily learn to shift its weight forward, to relax its neck even more easily and to let go of its back.

To the rider

The Equizügel® means that the hands no longer have a large radius of action, which inevitably leads to the rider consciously creating body tension in the back and thus considerably improving his sitting position. The interaction of seat and influence is promoted here by the self-learning effect.

b) When used without headpiece:

When riding with Equizügel® without head piece, both horse and rider become independent of the reins. A sense of achievement that is a lot of fun and increases the self-confidence of both.
