SPITZENREITER MAGENMÜSLI is a versatile feed that is suitable for horses in training and competition. The feed is also easily absorbed and highly palatable. These advantages make the muesli a pioneer in build-up and performance with the extra benefit of grain-free energy.
Innovation tried and tested at the Aubenhausen Dressage Centre
SPITZENREITER MAGENMÜSLI is an addition to the AGROBS product range that has been inspired by the long-standing partnership with Jessica von Bredow-Werndl and Benjamin Werndl. After successful test feeding at Aubenhausen during product development, the pair have now added the muesli to their horses’ feed ration and is impressed with the results in all horses, from youngsters to top competition horses.
One recipe – several benefits
The grain-free recipe and targeted combination of fibres, fats and proteins deliver palatable energy without any undesirable effects on digestion. The feed releases energy slowly, which keeps blood sugar levels largely constant, meaning no negative effects on the horse’s temperament.
SPITZENREITER MAGENMÜSLI is based on biodiverse Pre Alpin® and Myo Alpin® fibres that increase chewing and salivation and support healthy intestinal flora. Lignans from linseed and pectins from dried apple provide the horse’s stomach with valuable mucilages, while AGROBS® Bierhefe Pur brewer’s yeast strengthens intestinal flora with prebiotic, inactive yeast extracts.
The energy comes from sunflower and linseed oils that are innovatively prepared to guarantee the quality of the valuable fatty acids over a long period. The fine particle size ensures better digestibility in comparison with oilseeds and conventional vegetable oils. Premium protein sources such as sunflower seeds, Myo Alpin® fibres, AGROBS® Bierhefe Pur brewer’s yeast and linseed and black cumin cake help build and maintain strong muscles. The feed contains no soya.
This natural muesli contains no added vitamins, minerals or artificial additives. It does not contain any buffer substances that influence the stomach’s natural pH and which over time can result in undesirable, increased acid formation. This also contributes to stomach health, while the high crude fibre content increases chewing activity, resulting in saliva that naturally buffers stomach acid. The muesli gives horses with sensitive stomachs enough energy and helps them perform at their best.
But SPITZENREITER MAGENMÜSLI isn’t just for sport horses: the energy density is comparable with oats so it benefits all horses with increased requirements. Thin horses and seniors with intact teeth will also benefit from the high-energy, stomach-friendly recipe. Thanks to the low starch and sugar content, it is equally suitable for nervous or very temperamental horses or horses that require a low-carbohydrate diet. SPITZENREITER MAGENMÜSLI is easy to feed and ADMR (German Anti-Doping Regulations)-compliant so it is an ideal source of energy during the competition season for horses competing in all disciplines.

FEEDING RECOMMENDATION
Depending on horse type and activity Level
- as a sole concentrate: approximately 100 to 500 g per 100 kg ideal body weight per day and no more than 300 g per 100 kg target body weight per meal
- or to supplement the usual concentrate: 1 kg of Spitzenreiter Magenmüsli can substitute 1 kg of oats
- A feed scoop of 1 l holds an average of approx. 360 g of Spitzenreiter Magenmüsli.
AGROBS recommends introducing the feed gradually. The risk of oesophageal obstruction is low, but to further minimise the risk the food can also be moistened or soaked before feeding.
Please note that Spitzenreiter Magenmüsli is not suitable for horses with dental problems. For horses with limited chewing ability, we specifically recommend AGROBS® AlpenGrün Seniormüsli.
As a source of minerals, we recommend a mineral feed that is adapted to the horse and its needs.
