A FEED WITH TRADITION
Mash has been fed for centuries after hard work, in times of convalescence or to prevent colic. With its extensive recipe and particularly good acceptance, Irish Mash® can be offered as the first meal after colic, operations, in convalescence, in case of loss of appetite and chewing problems.
Irish Mash® is particularly tasty, closely based on the original traditional recipe of wheat bran and linseed and further developed according to the latest nutritional findings. The yellow linseed, gently cracked in a special process, allows a quick preparation without cooking. The digestibility and dietary effect are guaranteed by a low starch content, highly digested cereals, finest malt-yeast seasoning, coriander and brewer's yeast. Due to its intestinal supportive properties, it can improve feed conversion and thus weight gain in heavy-fed horses. Irish Mash® supports the regeneration after competitions, mating and foal births and has proved to be particularly effective during the change of coat.
OUR RECOMMENDATION: For grain-sensitive horses we recommend our grain-free Glyx-Mash®
COMPOSITION: Wheat bran, barley flakes (lacto-fermented), maize flakes (lacto-fermented), oil seeds finely cracked and oil cake mixture (linseed, sunflower seeds) 9.1 %, wholemeal oat flakes (lacto-fermented) 8 %, fruit fibres (apple/grape), beetroot, beetroot fibre, grass chippings warm air dried, isomaltulose, brewer's yeast 1.3 %, salt, oil mixture cold pressed (linseed, sunflower, maize germ oil) 0.8 %, coriander, maize germ, vinegar, calcium carbonate (mineral).
FEEDING RECOMMENDATION:
Mix approx. 70-200 g per 100 kg body weight with 1.5 to double the amount of warm/hot water, offer after approx. 15 min. swelling time. It can also be prepared with cold water, in which case the swelling time increases to approx. 30 minutes. As a rule, feed 3-4 times a week; if necessary, a reduced quantity can also be offered daily.
1 litre corresponds to approx. 550 g
Due to the higher content of vitamins and trace elements compared to complete feeds, this supplementary feed may only be fed to horses up to 27.8 % of the daily ration (incl. hay). Please adhere to the feeding recommendation.
Tip: For older horses, hasty eaters or horses with tooth, chewing or gullet problems, we recommend enriching muesli with water or switching from muesli to pelleted feed, soaking it with sufficient water and feeding it as a mash.
Please pay attention to the fluid intake of your horse.
