Capacity: 580 litres (2x240 litres), which corresponds to a volume of hay of approximately 20-30 kg. This value is very dependent on the structure of the hay and can only be used as a rough guide.

All our hay boxes offer similar benefits to a hay net and also ensure natural feeding behaviour. Hay intake is slowed down, which is good for the horse's health and balance. You can read more about why this is important here : Why hay is the most important food for horses.

With this luxury version, hay can now be easily and quickly portioned throughout the day. An unlimited number of feeding times can be set individually.

The box can be made of solid oak/ larch/ spruce from local forests or of multiplex board (screen printing plate). We recommend that you only use the timed hay box indoors or in a sheltered and covered outdoor area. For outdoor use, the screen-printed timed hay box is ideal.

The feed fence is made of food-safe plastic that will not splinter. The hay nets are made of soft 5 mm thick polypropylene and are available in mesh sizes of 30, 38, 45, 60, 80 or 100 mm. The fastening is secured by two accident-proof guides that can be quickly released and fixed by a human hand when the box is being filled. The horse's nose has no chance of removing the feed fence.

The timed haybox requires a 230 volt power supply (normal electricity) but can also be battery operated (12 volt, car battery). We recommend that you use the mains power supply as it takes less time to operate. The timer controlled hay box is delivered to your home fully assembled by a haulier.
