The bareback riding pad LaBona ALIZÉE was developed in close cooperation with our long-time partner Alizée Froment. The result is an elegant riding pad with a cantle and extra long saddle flaps, specially designed for dressage.
The upper side of the pad is made of high quality Argentinean cowhide, the lower side of elegant suede, the padding on the right and left side of the spinal canal can be individually padded. The pad is available in one standard size.
The pad is equipped with a raised cantle to approximate the shape of a dressage saddle. The padding is made in such a way that it forms a gutter to keeps the horse's spine free. In the LaBona ALIZEE bareback saddle pad, the front and rear padding is designed to promote a deep seat. The quarters have long knee paddings to support the rider's position. Above the withers, the pad is cut back to give it as much liberty as possible.
For horses that have few back muscles and/or a particularly prominent spine, we recommend the additional use of a medical lambskin pad. Used daily in the Alizée’s stables, the ULTRA 3 Lambskin Pad has proven its worth, as it can be individually padded in a particularly simple way. The three-compartment system makes the pad very variable for padding and/or correcting the position. This is particularly interesting if the horse's back muscles change or if the LaBona ALIZEE pad is used for several horses with different morphologies.
The saddle girth is not included in the delivery.
The caracteristics of the LaBona pads :
- The extremely flat side panels offer close contact with the horse. Riding with the pad, you can slightly feel the horses body heat and it gives you the feeling of "riding bareback", but with more comfort.
- The leather is wonderfully soft and offers very good grip.
- The seat and pommels are carefully hand-filled with synthetic wool, which provides a softer feel and greater resilience as natural wool.
- Large nylon straps are worked into the side panels to ensure that the pad retains its beautiful shape for a long time. These straps do not run over the back, so that punctual pressure is excluded.
- The straps are nylon straps covered with soft leather.
- Can be used with all standard short girths
- There is no stirrup attachment
- Can be used with or without a saddle blanket, depending on preference
- The riding pads are suitable for all types of horses
- Can be reupholstered by yourself or by our service (chargeable)
CARE INSTRUCTIONS :
The top side of the pad can be cleaned with a soft cloth or damp sponge. Unlike other LaBona pads, the underside of this model is made of suede. If it gets dirty, it can be carefully brushed with a soft rubber brush. If necessary, it is recommended to use a saddle pad or a saddle cloth, so that the pad will stay looking good for a long time.
NOTE:
Hard, rough or dull surfaces, zips, Velcro, seams or rubber on riding clothes (including boots and chaps) will cause abrasion over time. If damage caused by material incompatibilities appears on the pad that goes beyond normal signs of use, the item of clothing or equipment should no longer be used in conjunction with the pad. Damage caused by material incompatibility is not a reason for complaint. Leather is a natural product and may show colour variations. These are also no grounds for complaint.
