The TREKKSTAR bareback riding pad is the all-rounder from LaBona: with its galleries, seat with additional latex padding and thin plastic reinforcement for optimum pressure distribution, and four D-rings, the pad is suitable for both dressage and medium length rides.
The LaBona TREKKSTAR riding pad is padded by hand: the underside is padded with wadding, the seat is padded with 20 mm thick latex. When riding, the padding of the bareback riding pad adapts to the anatomy of the horse and rider. The seating sensation is pleasant from the very first second. The slightly elevated seat area promotes an upright posture and supports a mobile hip, allowing the horse's movements to be better followed. The extra flat sides allow close contact with the horse. You can feel the warmth of the animal's body, but the knee is still held in a non-slip manner and the trousers remain clean.
In the withers area the pad is slightly cut back and slightly raised, so that it is also suitable for horses with high withers. The TREKKSTAR is made of very soft Argentinean leather and is available in black and dark brown.
The underside is made of a robust, non-slip felt. So you don't need to girth too tightly. Ideal for horses that are sensitive to girthing. The girth does not run over the horse's back, so that punctual pressure is excluded. To avoid punctual pressure on the spine, there is also no stirrup attachment and the horse is ridden without stirrups.
The LaBona TREKKSTAR riding pad is suitable for almost all types of horses. For horses with protruding spinous processes, the padding prevents the unpleasant pressure between a protruding spine of the horse and the ischial tuberosity of the rider. For horses with a broad back, the shape of the seat supports an elongated leg and thus provides the prerequisite for a freely moving hip.
For cleaning, the underside of the pad can be carefully brushed. The pad has been designed so that it can be used without a saddle pad. Those who wish to do so can of course use a saddle pad. The leather top side can be cleaned with a damp cloth or sponge. It is also possible to use saddle soap and saddle grease, but these cleaning products are not mandatory.
NOTE: Hard, rough or dull surfaces as well as zips, Velcro, hard seams or rubber on riding clothes (this also includes boots and chaps) can, however, lead to abrasion and in the worst case the fabric can wear through. If, contrary to expectations, the pad shows signs of damage caused by material incompatibilities that go beyond normal signs of use, the item of clothing or equipment should no longer be used in conjunction with the pad. Damage caused by material incompatibility is not a reason for complaint. A so-called pilling effect can occur on the felt over time. This is also no reason for complaint.
